Discounts
For schoolchildren, students, trainees, young people performing military or civilian service (in each case up to their 27th birthdays) and for the unemployed. Discounts are available both in advance sales and at the box office on the actual evening. The concert ticket is valid only in conjunction with the relevant confirmatory identification. The discount does not apply for the children’s and cushion concerts, the gala concerts, the “Steinberger Tafelrunde” and the musical-literary wine-tasting.
A note to members of the Rheingau Musik Festival e.V.

Since the number of patron members is rising steadily, to our gratification, there may be bottlenecks in certain price categories, despite the exclusive service in advance sales. So please don’t forget to state your alternative wishes. Please also note that for the same reason at some concerts we have to restrict the number of possible orders to two tickets per member.
The CombiTicket of the RMV for the Rheingau Music Festival
If you have any questions concerning the RMVCombiTicket or the how-to-get-there options, feel free to use the RMV Hotline under +49 (0)18 05 /7 68 46 36 or the ESWE Information Hotline under +49 (0)6 11 / 45 02 24 50. Or you can consult the relevant website under www.rmv.de
Shuttle service

For the concerts in Eberbach Monastery and for the “Steinberger Tafelrunde” (7 August) and the events at Vollrads Palace, in view of the shortage of parking options there, we additionally offer a special bus service in conjunction with the ESWE. Take the RMV’s buses and trains to Wiesbaden Main Station.
There, at 70 and 60 minutes before the concert begins, the ESWE special buses will start from Platform D. You can also board the buses at the Platz der Deutschen Einheit, Platform D, and at the P&R-Platz Kahlemühle (Wiesbaden-Biebrich), 5 minutes later in each case. For our major events at Johannisberg Palace on 2 July, 3 July and 4 July, we have arranged for a shuttle service with ESWE buses from Geisenheim before and after the events, in addition to the shuttle buses from Wiesbaden. Please consult the signage on the spot.

Rain telephone

For events with the relevant designation, if the weather is uncertain then our rain telephone will be manned two hours before the event is scheduled to begin. Under the number +49 (0) 18 05 / 91 77 00 (this is not for advance ticket sales) and on the internet under www.rheingau-musik-festival.de, you can find out whether the event is being relocated to a different venue. Please also note the alternative arrangements already detailed in this programme and on the tickets.
General remarks
Please be aware that the venues of the Rheingau Music Festival will sometimes differ from conventional concert halls in terms of acoustics, indoor climate and architecture. In the lower price categories, too, particularly inside the churches, you have to anticipate that the view of the stage will be sometimes considerably, and in some cases totally impeded. At all events organised by the Rheingau Music Festival, Rheingau wine is served before the concert and in the breaks. In Eberbach Monastery, snacks are available one hour before each event.
Returning tickets
It is not possible to return and exchange tickets, not even for orders only partially met. Changes in line-ups and programmes do not entitle customers to return the tickets. Only if an event is cancelled in its entirety will the purchase price be reimbursed within a period of two months if the tickets concerned are presented at the advance ticket sales office. If an event has to be aborted after it has begun, no compensation can be paid.
